After the chinese new year, we left with a stack of nian gao (aka as sticky cake) and so we discard them?? Of course NOT!! They do make good yummy tea snacks. Kekeke! The steps are :-

1. First chop up the nian gao into thick slices.
2. Prepare egg wash by mixing flour with water and egg and dip the sliced nian gao into it.
3. Now pan-fry the cake. Use a small amount of oil so that the cake will not taste oily. Heat the oil on medium-high to high heat, then turn the heat down to medium and brown the cake slices briefly on both sides.
4. Ready to serve.
Sounds simple? Kekeke! But the one made by twinny is of a different recipe. She had wrapped up the nian gao with spring roll skin instead. Both tastes just as yummy and nice. *wink*
