Talking to a Moroon

Had been very shoved by work that I had hardly seen daylight for the past 1 month... and finally when I thought I could have a breather, there are still loose ends to be tie. My feeling... SULK and I cant wait for everything to be OVER, O-V-E-R!! I am quitting.

And today shoved under pressure of working in 3 places and work planning I got really irritated by this cowardice and super-dum-dum MOROON who is a pain-in-neck.

Extract of Conversation with Mr Moroon

Moroon : My records is different from your records. Please show me evidence to agree.

Moi (to self) : If you disagree, just tick "disagree". Why so LORSO??

Moi : Should you disagree, please tick the "disagree" box.

Moroon : We can not tick "disagree" without any evidence.

Moi (Irritated by Moroon) : Since you do not have evidence to "agree", i believe you will have to disagree but if you need evidence to "disagree", I apologies that I cannot help you.

Moroon : Please advise us of the reason why you can not confirm for reason for "disagree".

IRATED!!

SUCH AN IDIOT!!

MOROON IGNORE!!! X-(

First Day At Work

I thought I would dread it a lot. Surprisingly I am quite happy to be back at work. At least I feel my life is starting to get back to "normal". But of course I am suffering from terrible akachan withdrawal symptoms because I miss her very very much. Umm..how much...I can stare at her photo and want to cry.. yeah that much. Really miss my little one. Miss her "goo-goo" and "ga-ga", miss her smile, just miss her ...

Not so busy at the moment or rather I choose not to be busy at the moment. Actually quite a couple of things in my tray now, but no mood to get into gear ... luckily I choose a Thurs to start my day ... because I got tommorrow to look forward to already. :p Hee hee... Can't wait to go back home and hug her.

Being True to Myself

Started posting out a few resumes over last weekend. Crossing my fingers and waiting impatiently for the determining phone call for my first step. This next job is not going to be any other job, it's not going to be just a job. It's going to be job that I can be true to myself. A job that I know will fulfill and complete me.

To follow one's heart seem such a simple thing yet it's so difficult. It requires one to have the discipline to listen and the courage to follow. We need to quiet other voices surrounding us, voices that disturb us to listen to our inner voices. When I was a kid, I wanted to take up art @ Lasalle but ended up listening to voices from family and teacher that being an artist will give me no future. When I entered university, I choose again to follow other voices and took mathematics and forsake Japanese language as my main module. I first felt really true to myself when I follow my heart and inner voice and went to Japan for a 2 months study stint. It was something I really wanted to do to prove to myself that I could be independent and not a protected kid. That journey changed my life completely. It was one of my major crossroads and I was glad that I took that path. But to be able to constantly follow my heart wasn't easy. I was more too often distracted by the different voices echoing around me. I joined my present workplace a good 10 yrs and 1 month ago. I learnt and experienced tremendously over these 10 over years. It was fulfilling, I liked my job but then it didn't complete ME. Deep underneath, it knew this wasn't what I really wanted. It felt more like a chore day-in-day-out. I just did the job for an income, for him. And so though I wasn't unhappy, I was empty.

So i wandered till I had a chat with ABC and DEF over coffee club @ taka and I finally heard my calling. My calling to become a Librarian. I know it was something that I wanted to do. I felt really energerised talking to them that afternoon. I started looking and surfing the net to discover what takes to become one. I searched for the different qualifications required and started to work myself towards it. It wasn't an easy task and I met with a lot of resistance voices as to why would anyone want to become a Librarian. I became a little doubtful and did a little bit more research and even took up a volunteer stint with the library to find out more for myself. I had earlier intended to take up a library qualification in Wales or Australia and needed to raise a good $30,000 - $50,000 for school fees and at least a semester's living expenses cum lodging. I had a hard time to force-save $1000 a month with my limited income and my expenses commitment. I took up 3 jobs at that time on top of my current job. I worked 4 times a day in the evening and once on a Saturday to give tuition; I helped to train speech with 2 kids on Sunday and I lobbied applicants for credit cards to get commission. I was very tired but it was a good tired everyday even if it means I did not have any thing and time except for work and more work. To motivate myself, I spent every possible free time at IDP and British Council to find out more about the courses and the place.

By twist of fate, I decided to pursue the course in Singapore instead and I love and enjoy my study so much despite before called insane by one of the lecturers during the first day of school when he discovered that I am planning to do the course full-time and working full-time. He told me I would never be able to make it. It might be puzzling to some of my readers how I could take a course full-time and work full-time. I went to school in day and rushed back to office to complete my work at the same time. It means a lot of sacrifice. I took 5 modules in my first semester and was struggling with work, assignments, tests, presentations, readings and exams. Many a night went un-slept. I was practically awake most of the time. Some days, I came to office at 4am and rushed for class starting at 8am, went through lessons till 2-3pm, rushed back to office to continue work. After work, I still needed to go back to school again to complete assignments, sometimes into the wee hours in the morning. I was only able to come home to brush my teeth, wash up and go back to work and school. The routine just went on and on but I survived and I am proud to say I made it.

I was glad I never refrain from listening to my inner self, remains true to myself in this path I have chosen. The feeling within me as I come to this moment is indescribable. Being true to ourselves involve hearing the one voice that call us.

Listen to your heart and follow it.

Gullible

Gullible, I am not. Believe it or not.

I dun like to complicate my thinking process even though I have the tendency to think deep many a times. But Moi's philosophy is that life, itself is complicated enough and we should not complicate it further by thinking complex. I know some people just find me so "amazing" or "disgusting" like I am some extraterrestrial being. But for those who really knows me, you will know I aint gullible and I am not being naive. I just dun understand why so many likes to be "smart" and complicates the whole thinking process and waste your brain cells just trying to decipher what others are thinking and counteract it. The truth speaks itself..no matter how hard the other party try to concede it, it will come out one day and nothing is "damage" except his or her pricking conscience that will come back and bite him.

So you may think I am being gullible and easily taken by the words but i feel sorrier for you to live a life always guessing about others.

Time

We always said we dun have enough time in a day. We wish we have 48 hours per day instead of 24 hours. But given with all the time, did we treasure the time we have or just it slip through our fingers? How much time we wasted on doing irrelevant things, going into unnecessary details. Randy Pausch wrote "The Last Lecture" for his children. Sadly, he passed away on 25th July 2008 but he wasted no time to do the unnecessary. He chooses to save that 10 - 15mins of arguing with the cashier to refund his $16 plus double-charge receipts for other more important things, things that matter. As I read, it reflected on us including myself, how often we neglect or fall short to see what's the important things and get all too occupied with the small details in our lives.

Time is all you have. And you may find one day that you have less than what you think.

Treasure Time.

All Dogs go to Heaven

Today I received devastating verdict for Furry Boy. Though the case for Furry Boy didn't hit me as bad as previously with Woof Boy, it was nevertheless extremely heart-wrenching and upsetting. And so I was discussing with Vetty Ace with regards to Furry Boy's condition and talking about Euthanasia for Animals. I thank Woof boy for teaching me how to love and to love; for teaching me to treasure time and to appreciate quality time instead of quantity time.

Woof boy's condition came with a timeline which he didn't make it even half. Though rightfully, he should be suffering under his condition, Woof Boy never stop telling how much he loves us and reciprocate our love and tenderness for him. Believe me, I could hear and feel every word that transcribed in Woof boy's mind.

The thing about animal is they have a very high threshold for suffering and pain and they dun give up at all even when we persistently challenge their faith and loyalty. They gave their heart and soul wholeheartedly and they live only and only for us. Too many a times, we use our own judgement and expectation against them. Too often, owners gave up a pet so easily out of convenience and excuses. Actually they are so easily satisfied and always so forgiving no matter how little attention you gave them. Their little tails will still be there wagging and wagging for you.

That's the part about animals... and the reason behind why all Dogs can go to heaven while humans cant.

Furry Boy is not going to die today, he wont die the next day, or the day after that, or the day after that. So today right now, i will have him in my arms and spent a wonderful day.

Mummy loves you, Furry Boy!!

Just cant get enough... love Nickelback!!

Source : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dOzF4pyUfc

Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head

And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out

And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now than it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when

Oh, oh, oh

I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it

If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Look at this photograph
Everytime I do it makes me laugh
Everytime I do it makes me...

Compost VS Compote

Time really flies when you are with good company...

Well, i would have really wish the night can be a little longer and the hours can be stretched a little bit longer...

Thanks Sammie for invitation, space, dinner and drink. Her place was really breathe-taking and the food was superb. It was ever so nice to see her giving her girlish little giggle as she introduces each item of her home. Well well well, the woman with the 200 over pairs of shoes, I think you did a great job to organise your home. Looking forward to our next round next month. heehee!

Peranakan spread

Well, our cutie couple, Smurfette and Handy were in their usual bickering over Compost (poultry manure) and Compote when Papa Smurf was introducing his home-made dessert. Well, Well it should be Fruit Compote which is a cooked fruit dessert which combines an assortment of fruits and a rich, thick syrup. We had a thrill fun with catching up and in guessing the secret ingredients for the syrup for Papa Smurf's fruit compote.

So glad to also found out that Sammie is also a drinker like Moi and thus more opportunities for us to gather together and drink till heart content. Kekekeke!

Mixed identity

Because I uploaded Little Aka and Twinny's photos on facebook. This morning, I received a surprise message...

Hi Twin1, very surprised that you are already married and now a mother! Really very happy for you! Deep heartfelt congrats to you!

And I was perplexed as to why on earth makes that someone thinks that I got married and had a little daughter... then I laughed myself off because Twinny and I look the same, and most probably that someone had mistaken that photo to be me instead of Twinny. Wahahahahaha! Whatever!! =P

But then I ain't going to do any explanation... yup yup yup!!

Think what you like... it doesn't bother me at all, not even a teeny weeny. =P

The Celebration

The celebration for little aka's first month....

Mummy woke up early to go get the famous ang ku kuehs from bedok north street 3 and instructed the confinement auntie to make red eggs for little aka. Ang Ku Kuehs are usually given out during Baby's first month to symbolise prosperity (ang - red) and long life (ku - tortoise).

Twinny and her dearie also ordered cutie first month cakes from Sweetest Moments to celebrate little aka's first month. It's great to have a family celebration once in a while.

The First Month

How time flies...it's amazing to watch little Aka growing a little by little per day...

Happy First Month, sweetheart!!

For All Carnivores

This is a haven for all meat lovers!! They only serve the salad buffet at S$26+++ or the meat (include the salad buffet) at S$42+++. Yamcha was sharing that the restaurant actually offers 14 different kinds of meat cut but I think we only managed to "survive" for 7 - 8 meat cuts. Hahahaha! I understand from the rest of the gang that the beef was really juicy and tender but alas i dun take beef lor. So very the loogi!! Anywhere I still enjoyed the dinner tremedously because the meat was very well grilled, roasted, cut and fresh. They even served cut pineapples...which I didn't like too much. kekekee! Bulma and ChiChi tried their chicken liver and ChiChi felt it tasted yucky.. anywhere, food is a personal preferences.

But we were full of praise for the lamb, beef, chicken tigh and ham. And dun miss out the well-spread salad bar. They have beetroot, deep-fried mushroom, jackfuit salad, fried banana, fried crispy vegetable and many more. It was really nice. Moi and ChiChi were taking heaps and heaps of the salad... Shy ChiChi even commented if we were ...er...too greedy. Aiyoh!! It's buffet, right? Kekekeke! Well, the highlight is the starter - a light creamy cheese bread (pao de queijo) with a hole in then centre for putting different exotic sauce. Really yummy!!

Goku and ChiChi brought a little surprise - Gohan (5mths) along...it was so exciting to see him. He was so adorable, smiling at all the pretty lasses (ahem...including Moi...) at the table. ^_-)

The service was excellent! All the staffs were very friendly and came over to our table from time to time to chat and joke with us. They even took the initiative to help make little Gohan more comfortable by up the air-con temperature and in creating a cosy space for Gohan. Really warm service.

This year national day is just like the other national day... we have been celebrating so for a good few times. I am used to sitting at the balcony and viewing the spectacular fireworks outside.

I am used to spreading the food all over the table and watching tv and caught the live fireworks at the same time. I am used to his big laughters and her thoughtfulness.

SUN and MOON

So I met the chirpy SUN and the icy MOON for din din @ Sun with Moon. So the chirpy SUN was telling us that she just got diagnose as a case of mild scoliosis; and that how she is going to undergo some therapeutic exercises. In case you dun recall, the scoliosis is the S-curve backbone where all of us were send for detection when we were in secondary or primary school. I still remember that I was singled out for mild scoliosis and poor mummy had to bring me all the way to some uru government clinic to take x-ray and examination.

Icy MOON wasn't in a usual chirpy self, much quieter as she stands in the junction of her career and love. Well, Moi could understand how she feels being too, standing at a cross junction in my career right now. Mid-life crisis? I aint sure. Had a little walk with BreadParpas this evening and I asked if he felt sad with the outcome.. he nodded and heaved a big sigh. Yup...that's with the matter fact of life. We cant do much... Sigh.

Din Din was nice though... we had...
