Ju Shin Jung

Was first recommended to Ju Shin Jung @ YESS Centre, it was a wonderful experience and for that special HIM that i haven't had dinner together for a long time... Moi decided to bring him especially to Ju Shin Jung @ East Coast parkway for dinner. Well, in my opinion, the YESS outlet, in terms of food, service and ambience, was way too much better than the one at East Coast so Moi was a little disappointed. Nevertheless Moi enjoyed Ju Shin Jung as I find the dishes were really very authentic korean BBQ meal. Their kimchi was spicy but really crunchy and nice. Moi couldn't stop nibbling on the small little dishes the whole night. =P The pork and chicken tasted really nice too. My kakis also gave ravishing reviews about their Galbisal (marinated beef ribs) $35 and Bulgogi (Seasoned slice beef) $30.

But the highlight is their magical towel. hahahaha! Moi enjoyed pouring in the water and see it "sprout". ^_-)

Manna Korea Restaurant

Occasionally when I had craving for korean food. Moi will either drop in these 2 korean restaurants at Raffles place : (1) Manna and (2) The Palace Korean Restaurant which is at #B1-03A Chevron House (f.k.a Caltex house). I felt both serve rather authentic korean cuisine and at a cheaper price than Shillawon

The nice thing about Manna is that it has a free flow of appetizers which is really yummy. Hahaha! I usually had at least 2-3 helping. =P But maybe the korean boss got scared of Singaporean eaters. The portion is really getting smaller and smaller. Hohohoho!

Ahn nyeong ha seh yo

Found this typical Korean restaurant inside Suntec Mall. Entering the restaurant really makes me feel like I am in a typical high-end Korean restaurant with waitress neatly dressed in black uniform with red vests and their hair all neatly bun up. Each waitress will blow slightly and greet "Ahn nyeong ha seh yo" to incoming patrons.

Shillawon is an upper-casual Korean chain restaurant that specializes in jeongol dishes, or Korean hotpot.

So what do they have....

Korean appetizers : Kimchi (chili pepper cabbage) + Pa-Jeon (Green onion pancake) + Black beans + Spinach + Anchovies + Bean sprouts


Sundubu-jjigae (Raw Beancurd stew) with rice


Abalone Samgye-tang (Abalone Chicken Ginseng Soup Set)


Haemul jeongol (Seafood hotpot) with noodle


Sweet digestive tea + Cut fruits

I forgot the name of the tea that was supposed to drink after meals to aid digestion. Personally I found the tea too sweet for my liking.
