Today is one of rare occasion that Moi could enjoy a slightly longer lunch with a satellite office colleague of mine who has been with the company just about that long or somewhat longer than Moi. We practically see each other grow and age in the company. Ironically this is our first non-official, non-business lunch together.
I still recall our first meeting was rather unpleasant, as she appeared super aloof and dao and I felt she was just pushing her weight around just because she stepped into this office a little ahead of Moi. Moreover our work are closely interwinded, so it didn't take much time for her to get on Moi's nerves when I, being based in the office got to be her main support since she is based on home most of the time. Over the years, we ironed out our differences and now we are more than just colleagues. Was really looking forward to our pre-arranged lunchie for the whole of this week.
Went down to Superfamous as highly recommended by a Chum for lunch. Superfamous is a little stand-alone cafe bistro located just next to OCBC Centre, beside the giant bronze sculpture "Reclining figure" by Henry Moore. A scenic little cozy place in the midst of the concrete jungle. Had wanted to try their Lobster Bisque with prawn ravioli but it wasn't on the menu anymore. * Disappointed *
Well, Gucci, who is always so "figure-conscious", decided to take just a salad... and Moi who has been bio-ing their breakfast menu, decided to try their Eggs Benedict.

Crabmeat Caesar Salad $16.00Stole a few spoonfuls of Gucci's salad. It tasted quite well. The crabmeat is really fresh and well-marinated. Not too bad a choice.

Eggs Benedict $12.00Superfamous's Eggs Benedict made up of a toasted muffin, topped with ham, salmon, poached eggs, with hollandaise sauce. Hollandaise sauce is the yellowish thing in the bowl, the main super licking, yummy ingredient in Eggs Benedict. A little explanation that the hollandaise sauce is an emulsion of butter and lemon juice using egg yolks as the emulsifying agent, usually seasoned with salt and pepper. The sauce might look and sound rather simple but actually it requires quite a bit of skill to prepare. Improper emulsified will cause separation or the yolks coagulating together. Superfamous's hollandaise sauce tasted just smooth and creamy. * SLURP *
To fight the afternoon Zzzzzzz monster, we had double espresso with vanilla ice-cream. Heehee! Affogate is a tango between coffee and dessert. Ummmm!!!

Affogate $5.50Food was great but like always, the company is the best. We shared a lot of our feelings and bondings towards the company especially with Parpas and our detest for the Crapaud family. Our passion for our work and our common decision and conclusion that it's high time for both of us to move on after serving in the company for 10 years.
Yup...Moi has been seriously thinking about it. I can't wait to be release away like a bird... into the sky... far, far away.
