Lunch @ Wu Clan

Well, another lunch @ Wu clan but this time is a different "Wu Clan". ^_-) This is really out-dated but since the other Miss Wu is getting married soon and the other one in the pipeline, i better post it before I need to edit the title from Wu to something else. Kekeke!

Anywhere the joy is always the company and home-cooked food from mummy's loving hands and sweat always taste best. Seeing doting Bubbles' mom sayang-ing Bubbles from hand-knitted tops to delicious meal...NOTHING beats Mother's love.

Black Noodles

This is my MIL's "take hand good food" - black sauce hokkien mee. Really slurpy yummy. The noodles are simmered in a giant claypot with all the ingredients and special cooked sauce. A big pot for trio. * burp *

Compost VS Compote

Time really flies when you are with good company...

Well, i would have really wish the night can be a little longer and the hours can be stretched a little bit longer...

Thanks Sammie for invitation, space, dinner and drink. Her place was really breathe-taking and the food was superb. It was ever so nice to see her giving her girlish little giggle as she introduces each item of her home. Well well well, the woman with the 200 over pairs of shoes, I think you did a great job to organise your home. Looking forward to our next round next month. heehee!

Peranakan spread

Well, our cutie couple, Smurfette and Handy were in their usual bickering over Compost (poultry manure) and Compote when Papa Smurf was introducing his home-made dessert. Well, Well it should be Fruit Compote which is a cooked fruit dessert which combines an assortment of fruits and a rich, thick syrup. We had a thrill fun with catching up and in guessing the secret ingredients for the syrup for Papa Smurf's fruit compote.

So glad to also found out that Sammie is also a drinker like Moi and thus more opportunities for us to gather together and drink till heart content. Kekekeke!

9 August 2008

This year national day is just like the other national day... we have been celebrating so for a good few times. I am used to sitting at the balcony and viewing the spectacular fireworks outside.

I am used to spreading the food all over the table and watching tv and caught the live fireworks at the same time. I am used to his big laughters and her thoughtfulness.

Definitely will miss her butajiru...

Judgement Day

This is a really out-dated posting. =P Was invited to Bubbles' home some time ago for lunch and the sweetie whipped up pancakes for Moi and Buttercup. ^_-)

Bubbles thought I was really "kind" with my comments but to be honest, it didn't really taste that bad for a first trial. It was still manageable and plateable, I might not have done any better myself. My advice keep going cause practise make perfect. Ganbatte!! p(^_^)q

Buttercup says Err...Your pancakes don't look very nice. But eat already, tastes ok. A little bit too "flour" but still edible. For a first timer, consider not bad already.

The SuperModel Bash

And so dear SuperModel's birthday is just around the corner, and the whole team wanted to throw her a mini secret bash but unfortunately got leak out somehow anywhere...hahahahahhaa! But still have a heaps of fun with the gang and really miss those knock-out nights when we were planning for Project DB...

SEE!! We still kept our "signboard"...being with the gang brought back many nice memories. But group was too BIG and because of the RAIN, everyone was LATE so we didn't manage to catch up really much. SIGH!! But still cool especially to see Ruby since having been seeing the gal for a very, very long time and the LUCKY gal is flying to Paris next month for holiday.

Well, Handy and Smurfette suggested that only the GUYS will bring in the FOOD this time round and the girls will JUST EAT.... with exception for Smurfette who as the host, dished up mushroom tofu rice, vegetable stew and fried fish and DL who made potato salad. Unfortunately, Papa Smurf suffered food-poisoning and couldn't join us but the sweetie made sure his FOOD joined us otherwise.... Was happy to savour his sambal prawns and tau yu bak (pork stew). Kekeke! I am such a piggy!!

Handy also dialed us lovely pizza NOT from our usual Pizza-hut but from Sfigato. The pizza was really nice!! And I heard it's cheap too.

Vegetarian pizza from Sfigato

Well, it's SuperModel's birthday bash so of course must have the CAKE lah!! Presenting Prima Deli's Hazelnut cake. Heehee! Tasted really nice but we were so busy chatting, taking photos and having heaps of fun that it took me half an hour to finish my piece of cake. Poor Smurfette even got to go for another birthday bash later... yet another cake. =P Best was catching up with DL... she was ever so motherly and concern about my progress. Was a little guilty because of wedding preparations and reshuffling of my work that Moi cant commit much for my volunteer work this year. Still I love and miss these wonderful gang that despite Moi not being able to invite them to my mini-wedding reception, they still overwhelmed me with their wishes and "volunteer" to be my Standing MC and do up a scrapbook poster for my guest signatures. Thanks Sweeties. Really thanks so much!! And SuperModel, Happy Birthday, dear!!

Hazelnut cake

All went crazy over the "signboard", sure brought us many lovely memories...
