Pepper Lunch is a Japanese fast-food steakhouse chain with more than 200 outlets globally. The uniqueness of Pepper Lunch is the food is cook in front of the customers, and to a certain extent, by the customer. Hahahaha! You pay to cook your own food kind of concept. This lies in its design patented iron plate and electromagnetic cooker which can heat up to 260 degree Celsius in 70 seconds and remain hot (approximately 80 degree Celsius) for about 20 mins. The fast and high temperature makes it possible to retain the tenderness and juiciness of the meat. In addition, the unique plate keeps food warm for a longer time and customers can enjoy the full flavour of the dish.
Had wanted to try Pepper Lunch for a good while and so was glad that Twinny decided to go on one of the Saturdays together. Heehee! It was really crowded even though we went around 8pm and we felt the ordering was a little dis-organised.
We got pretty excited after receiving our orders to "cook" our food before eating. Well, we got a little "lost" but the staff was really helpful and helped us out. Hehehehe! SO it was much shaking, stirring and mixing of the rice and the meat with the various sauces found on the table. YOU can also check it at their website on how to "cook" it. Unfortunately Twinny got a little too slow with her Salmon steak cause she cooked it after watching the demo from the staff, so her salmon and dao gei were not FULLY cooked.

On the whole, it was the "experience" more than the food that I believe will bring customers back for pepper lunch.
