Moi is a sucker for animations, unleashing the "kid" in ME. So of course I must watch the Bee Movie.
The story basically circles around a bee by the name of Barry Bee Benson and him finding his purpose in life. Many parts of the movie actually reflects the situation that most of us is facing day in, day out. DO we ever get disillusion about our future, what kind of job we are going to be in? After graduating, many of us landed ourselves in big MNCs, Statutory boards in good positions, earning big bucks, chasing after the high-lifestyle with career, big car, big house, many cash. But is this really what we wanted? Does it really makes us happy and fulfilling? Does getting and doing what the majority is getting and doing makes it the best choice and the only way?
The story takes a turn when Barry had a chance to venture out of the hive and got acquainted with a human girl called Vanessa and he discovered his true calling in life. But the story did not end happily with Barry following his true calling in life and doing what he deems is right. Cause in life, everything and everyone is connected, no man is an island. It's really so true!! SO his decision came about unforeseeable results that was detrimental.
But it's a cartoon and like all cartoon, the ending is a happy one. ;-P
But the movie sets me thinking about what I wanted in life (maybe it's also the book I have been reading - Room to Read) and what is really a happy and fulfilling life for Moi...
