My Valentine Date

Valentine day is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other. But over the years, it has become a rather commercial day where florist, jewel shops, restaurants, candy stores, gift shops, hotels cash in. I spent a meaningful day with people that matters most...

After my hospital trippy, I went down to this chinese cafe serving Macau food. The restaurant is tucked away in a little corner in the basement of Bugis Junction next to the Cold Storage supermarket. Macau cuisine is a fusion between Portuguese and Cantonese. (Portuguesse were the colonialists of Macau before it was ceded back to China). So we tried ....

In clockwise starting Top left corner : (1) Jia Jiang Mian (2) Char Siu Noodle (3) Omelette with silver fish and bitter gourd (4) Dessert : double boiled egg white with milk dessert

The taste is not too bad... I cant really comment its authenticity since I have never try Macau food before. But it's a good change from the usual "dim sum" style cantonese cafe. But I am a little disappointed with the dessert. I found the taste too milky but since it's GOOD for complexion... I savoured till the last drop.

After Luchie, went Chinese New Year shopping with Mummy, Mummy Teddy Bear, Junior Teddy Bear and Minnie Mouse. Me and Mummy shopped till nearly midnight making numerous trip. Special thanks to "Cabby" who was chauffering us patiently from Point A to B, C to D, from East to West, West to East. The shopping trips were extremely draining and we had to stop for supper to replenish enough fuel to make our way back. Heehee! Went to another famous Bak Chor Mee...Well I know it's very fattening and oily but I really like eating Bak Chor Mee. =P The difference between this Bak Chor Mee and the Bak Chor Mee at BLK 85 is that the noodle is softer while the noodle served at BLK 85 is harder in texture. Both taste nice to me. I believe it's more of a personal preference.

By the time, me and mummy went home...we just dropped on our bed... we had a very, very tiring but enjoyable Valentine day.
