Fast Food Culture

I call fast food, the lonely man food. It's the kind of food Moi will take when i am lunching alone, when i am rushing for time, when i want to multi-task, when I am derived of a proper place to sit down.... French fries contain 4 times more calories than baked potatoes itself because potato when fried absorb a lot of oil. Contrary to most belief, the smaller the fries, the higher the calories so potatoes wedges actually contain lower calories compared to the slimmer french fries.

We know fast food is one of the main causes of obesity and fast food especially our favourite fried potate contain very high level of acrylamide. Though yet proved to do so in human, tests on animals had shown that constant consumption of foodborne acrylamide is carcinogen (cancer causing). Yet we are still eating all these JUNK food ... blind faith or culture?

My > 600 calories lunch

We are living in the era of the rat race while everything has to be done fast and efficiency. Everybody and things need to move fast... suffocating right? We are always BUSY.... always BUSY. Too often, we are busy being ushered within the rat race. We do not stop to ponder and think what is it that we really want or what is it that is really important. We miss the important things much too often and busy chasing the unimportant things too often.

I learn to treasure the hard way... by losing things and people that meant tonnes... so Take your time to smell the roses...a poem by Marilyn Ferguson in abstract.

Take time to smell the roses
Time moves along so fast
It could be that your turn is next
Tomorrow might be your last.

Take time to look around you
See loved ones pass away
We do not know the future
It could be you today.

Take time to grasp the moment
So fast, the clock does tick
We do not know the hour
Your number could be next.

Take time to smell the roses
Before it is too late
Today is full of promise
Tomorrow will not wait.
