I like the cozy atmosphere at Robataya Yoyogi where the chef will at times beckon customers to pass the fresh food over at the counter to them. And this time I found out that the ice that I have been seeing at the counter is actually FAKE ice. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! >_< No thanks to Cheetah who tricked me. =P
Had the usual with a few additions. Special mention to their Butajiru (a miso soup with pork and various vegetables) also known as Tonjiru which is really yummy. In case you are wondering about the few slices of floating "beancurd". It's not beancurd, it's thin slices of belly of pork with the fat and everything. Uuuuummmmmm!!! So nice!! Butajiru is usually make with belly of pork, ito-konnyaku, siitake (mushroom), onion, gobou (burdock root), radish and carrot.

In clockwise starting Top left corner : (1) Tebasaki (grilled chicken wing) (2) Grilled potato (3) Sanma Shioyaki (grilled saury fish with salt) (4) Grilled kurobuta (pork) with asparagus (5) Grilled satsuma imo (Japanese yam) (6) Butajiru
