Read about Bice Bistro which comes from the famous Milan-based Italian fine-dining restaurant chain Bice and wanted to go try it out. Bice Bistros is supposed to be a more casual chain in compare to the more exquisite fine-dinning Bice. So Moi went with full enthusiasm to their Singapore branch, which opened only last month and is the first of the batch in Asia.
The decor at Bice Bistro is rather Euro-clubby style with leather and woody furniture and chandelier and so it does feel a little bit "cold" to step into such an atmosphere. Well, maybe I had expected a little bit too much of Bice Bistro so was disappointed when the server informed us that the menu here is more limited than that of the full-fledged restaurant. The food served is also very typical of what can be found in dozens of Italian restaurants around town and taste not as unique. With that price, I rather go Spizzico.
