Let's say today for the first time of Moi's life I had an UN-French dinner at a French Restaurant. The ambience was not too bad, the staff were helpful though not really warm. As a matter of fact, upon setting into the restaurant, one can find so many tiny wine corks framed up on the wall that you might be thinking that this restaurant serves many exquisite and nice French wine and food.
Nope...I didn't really go there with much expectations since the restaurant was not that really crowded but it was not empty neither. But it was a DISAPPOINTMENT. The food was edible, won't cause any tummy problem but it's definitely not worthwhile to pay UN-FRENCH food with french price, if you know what Moi means....

In clockwise starting Top left corner : (1) Burgundy Escargots with garlic butter (2) Smoked Salmon with Toast (3) Salade Caprese (tomato, mozzarella caper & basil pesto) (4) Brochette of marinated lamb (5) Grilled Sirloin Steak with herbs (5) Terrine Maison with Pork and Chicken Liver
From the above I believe only Dish (1) Escargots can make it to be a French cuisine har? Dish (2) and (3) are definitely italian. I know Goose Liver or Foie Gras is French cuisine but never heard that Chicken Liver also consider as a French delicacy. Bwahahahahaha! And the main courses just reminded me too much of Tony Romas - American food. To top it up, the waiter spilled not ONCE but TWICE on our table and all the main courses were served COOL. Well, maybe Moi is super fussy but for a S$28.80 main course I would think it's over priced. I won't mind eating the above again at S$8.00 or S$12.00 but NO NO NO for S$28.80.
And the Bordeaux is .... let's say I just finish my own single glass and no more..... =P
