I finally managed to taste donuts from Donut factory. I had passed it a countless time at the various outlets but the queue just put me off to even try. AND so the other day when i discovered a queue with only 5 pax and each pax entitled to buy only 2 donuts, Moi decided to give it a GO.
Looking at the menu board, one is spolit with choices. Every donut looks so delicious, I had a hard time trying to decide which one to try. Since it's my first attempt, Moi decided to keep it the basic types. Moi got the glazed plain donut and also another one with chocolate and hazelnuts. The dough of the donut is really light, fluffy and not oil-logged. So one can eat a lot of donuts and yet not feel "sick" of it.

I was also very surprised that the donuts held up well for hours. Just zap them for eight seconds (no more no less) in the microwave and they are good to go again.
Though the donuts are good, but Moi think it's not worth queueing for hours. Despite only 5 pax in front of Moi and 1 pax can only buy 2 donuts, it took a good 15mins before my turn came. There are ample staffs inside the counter and kitchen. The donuts are being churned out non-stop in huge quantity. BUT the girl serving Moi seems so blur, spending good time looking for which donut is which to take. The staff or operations system are and is super inefficiency and thus the QUEUE. If Donut factory wants to make more money and not waste time keeping customers waiting. I think they had better re-organise their ordering system as soon as possible.
They should look at other successful donut outlets like Krispy Kreme or Mister Donut which are more efficient and fast moving. Not sure about Krispy Kreme but Moi had been to Mister Donut and I do love their donuts very much. Despite not having many fanciful varities like Donut Factory, their dough is also very cripsy and soft. And they made different types with simple coating. Uuuuuuummmmmmmm.....if I got the capital, I won't hesitate to bring in Mister Donut to Singapore. Any takers? ^_-)
