I don't understand hokkien so my Singlish is of course below C level. =P Today I finally went to Heads or Tails for their steamed bread with thai's kaya. I have been wanting to go try after watching it on Channel U's Makan King program. Heehee! I am such a Foodie. I went along with a colleague and she was trying to orientate with the Singlish Coffee jargons that Moi should use whenever I order my kopi instead of using "Coffee with sugar and milk". Kekekeke! Being the ever so studious and zealous student, I took down each meaning carefully... *wink*
- Kopi - Coffee with sugar and condensed milk
- Kopi-O - Coffee with sugar, no condensed milk
- Kopi-Kosong - Coffee with condensed milk, no sugar
- Kopi-O-Kosong - coffee only
- Kopi-C - Coffee with sugar and evaporated milk
- Kopi-peng - Kopi with ice
- Siu Tai - less sugar
- kao - extra strong black coffee
Heehee... FULL MARKS for Moi!! Kekekeke! Oops...we haven't got into the part for tea yet. =P
Anyway, me and my colleague had steamed bread with Pandan Kaya, Yam Kaya and Chicken Floss with Condensed milk spread. Both the steamed bread and the spread are very, very soft and fresh. The price is Kopitam price so it's really value for money. I had this phobia with the taste of orange-coloured iced thai milk tea and was apprehensive to order it despite STRONG "promotion" by my colleague. I settled with a Kopi-C while she ordered her MUST-drink iced thai milk tea. After much persuasion, I finally took a sip. It was very NICE.. heehee! I love it. Heads or Tails' iced thai milk tea does not have the strong Star Ansie taste so it was really lovely. So for those who are curious enough, do try the iced thai milk tea during your visit to the Heads or Tails.
