Living in Glass Cylinder

Last Weekend I went for drinks with a friend and we chatted for very very long. She mentioned bringing me to this AH BENG's pub along East Coast so we went there. I couldn't really decipher the place until she led me behind some bushes. I felt like entering into a total different kind of place, cutting myself away from the noisy city and streets. This is the first time I came to this pub AND it sure closes early at 3am. We were still drinking but got to go but the ambience was nice and cosy. A nice little private place hiding among the noisy city. A good hideout for chats and for quiet thoughts.

Two ladies had five glasses Long island tea and one bottle of Corona. SO what do you have? Two siao chap bor talking out loudly and making a dim. =P gosh!! No shinning knight to save these 2 damsels in distress har!! Wahahahaha! We talked about many things especially regarding the recent event that we both worked on. What is it like to be in the world of silent? What is it like NOT able to hear very clearly.. Deafness is a very lonely disability that cuts off communication and isolates a person. How many times can him or her ask someone to repeat and repeat, not to the point of irritation to the speaker? How it feels to miss a joke as the whole team laughs? How it feels not catching the whole gist of a conversation as everyone is talking simultaneously at the same time? It's a challenge for those who has hearing problems. She described it as living in a glass cylinder that you could never get out of it.... And the little muffled voices is all that was heard usually... And you just got to learn to live with it...It really makes you feel so lonely...
