San Marco @ the Lighthouse

Yesterday I had French cuisine at Saint Julien. Today I had Italian food instead at San Marco located inside Fullerton Hotel. Gosh! Too much pampering from my client...ah?!! ;-P I am indeed very lucky. My client was teasing me, it will be difficult for me to get a boyfriend cos it's hard to find someone who can afford to bring me to such dinner and wine. Hahahahaha! Hmm...quite true hor!! Any "golden turtle" around?? Kekekeke! I took my camera along hoping to take some good pictures from the restaurant. A few years back, I had watched the sunset from the restaurant and it was mesmorising. TOO BAD!! The haze "blurred" all the beauty so I couldnt see any beautiful sunset. What a waste!!

Fullerton Hotel

As usual, we had excellent wine to go with our wonderful dinner. We had Bordeaux Blend Italian wine, 1996 Tenuta San Guido Bolgheri-Sassicaia. Sassicaia is one of the most sought after wines in the world and the most collectible Italian wine. It costs S$620 per bottle. For records, yesterday 2 wines cost S$1,800 in total. The pricey one should be the Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Envious leh??? Kekekeke! Sassicaia tastes a bit lighter compared to Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Still...It's just as nice. The color is deep red and even before the wine was pour into our glasses, I could smell the nice aroma... divine. We were discussing abt tasting Romani Conti S$8,000 per bottle wine in our lifetime. ya... dream on....dream on... ;-P

For dinner, I had
Appetizer : LANGOUSTINE
Atlantic langoustine wrapped in potato spaghetti with wild basil and pine nut pesto, grated ratte potato couscous infused with mountain black pepper and organic green leaf

Soup :CAULIFLOWER SOUP
Cappuccino of pot roasted cauliflower with seared frog leg tossed in home made pesto, flat parsley and chive flowers
Minus off the frog leg.... heehee! I dun eat frog...

Pasta : TORTELLINI
Freshly made tortellini pasta stuffed with fresh porcini mushroom, roasted chopped hazelnut, parmesan cracker and fontina cheese emulsion

Main course : LAMB
Roasted lamb loin crusted with buttered oat meal, beet sugar caramelised yam root, piquillos pepper puree and kalamata black olive powder

Dessert : APPLE
Whole caramelised apple with double cream nougatine ice-cream and homemade sweet cinnamon bark infused biscuit

Thumbs up for San Marco too, though my own slight preferences for Saint Julien for their really very personalised service. Well...of course the plus point abt San Marco is that there is a very handsome Italian co-owner and General Manager serving the guests. Heehee!

After the dinner, I send my client to the airport who is flying off tonight. Some friends were asking why do I always go and pick up and send my clients when I am not driving? Good question!! I pick and send them with taxi. Hahahahaha! Nvm. I only provide such "service" for good clients and inevitable cases... Well, I could jolly well claimed for taxi 2 ways but decided to take the train after saying tata to him at the airport. I really like the MRT station at the airport terminal. It looks really neat and nice.

Bon Voyage, Mr A G!! Thanks for always treating me to nice nice dinner!! Shiawase da yo!!
