Mis-communication

Another case of miscommunication.

Waiter : Table for ?

Boss :

Waiter : Eight persons! This way please... *wide grin*

Me : AH??? Eight??? No! No! Only three.

Waiter : Three? But you show eight.

Me : No lah. He means three.

waiter : OH! Chinese, like that then is three. *Showing his hand*

Even a simple finger sign can have so many different meanings....
