Foolish Being, you are always chasing after things that seem important but are actually unimportant ...
And only after we lost the most precious thing, can we understand we have waste so much time chasing after the unimportant and not treasuring the most important..
Then you will start to realise that what you have always think is important is actually not important.
Wake up...

Foolish Being
Let it Go by Corrinne May
I think we've been here before
I recognize this place
I've seen the marks of confusion
wipe out a single sign of grace
And I don't want to play anymore
Not when the stakes are so high
So before we circle round once more
I'm gonna lay down,
Lay down my pride
Let it go, let it be
Don't waste all your emotion on this
tit-for-tat machine
Let it go, let it be
Let it go
I turn on the TV
and it screams out at me
Nothing seems to have changed
since the start of Adam and Eve
So we're waiting for the sky to fall
and we're buying brand new toys
But before we circle round once more
Can we lay down
Just lay down this pride
Let it go, let it be
Don't waste all your emotion on this
tit-for-tat machine
Let it go, let it be
Let it go
Don't go wasting your emotions
No one wins if we keep score
Let it go, let it be
Let it go

Sun with the Moon
The restaurants @ The Central should start paying me for highly publicising the different restaurants there. *wink* Well, this is another one... BUT i bet most of you might have already heard or have been to the Sun with Moon outlet at Wheelock Place. Went over to the outlet at the Central for dinner some time ago and this is what we had...
Well the signature dish for the Sun with Moon is actually kamameshi (traditional steamed seasoned rice pot) but we didn't have any of these and had other dishes instead...
This sushi is interesting since we only figured it out after asking more than 3 waitress. =P Half-broiled sushi means that half of the raw meat - fish or otherwise, are grilled and the other half sticking to the rice is raw. This is a very unique cooking method that is being done at Sun with Moon. Well, the taste was not so bad, since we had the combo and one of the half-broiled sushi was foie gras sushi. I would strongly recommend to eat it without thinking it is "normal" sushi then you would appreciate the taste better.

It's a good gathering place for friends. Stay away from sake, sushi and sashimi and it would not be a too PRICEY place for dinner. But it's very crowded every day so would suggest making reservation before going down.

Fine Dinning
During my previous posting on my dinner at Saint Julien, a nice cosy restaurant tucked under the Anderson Bridge along the Singapore River, I did not manage to upload any photos; so during a recent dinner trip there again, I tried and managed to take some snapshots of my dinner (not all) and be glad to post it here... heehee!
Appetizers :
ROSETTE DE SAUMON / SALMON ROLL
Cured salmon with Avruga cream and "Ravigote" mustard and pickle sauce
RAVIOLI DE CRABE / CRAB RAVIOLI
Ravioli of Alaskan crab with lobster and brandy emuslion
FOIE GRAS POELE / PAN SEARED DUCK LIVER
Pan seared foie gras with grape and verjus sauce
Main Course :
DUCK CONFETTI
Dessert :
FROMAGES DE FRANCE / FRENCH CHEESE
My repeat and continuous patron of Saint Julien is not only because of the delicacies served but also because of the great and warm hospitality extended by all the staff from the restaurant. I really admire the owners of this restaurant, a husband-wife team for their heart and efforts in building not only a restaurant but also its name and reputation for great hospitality, sincerity in serving and in food preparation. This once again reminds me of another Japanese restaurant, Tom Ton that I had mentioned previously also. Serving Food with a Heart.

I dun want to get to know YOU....
A "well-intention" friend set me up with a GUY some time ago, just recently. OK...... I know the sweetie meant well and is genuinely concern about Moi's Love Affairs..BUT for those who knows Moi. Moi does not like such SURPRISE. So would really APPRECIATE if friend(s) can stop arranging such things especially WITHOUT informing me beforehand.... And when Moi said "NO, Thank you." Moi does genuinely means IT and NOT being paiseh, ok?
Hmm...actually what's wrong with a lady passing or nearing to the BIG 3? Getting oneself hitched is no longer a very important agenda for the independent and lovely ladies like all of you out there reading, including myself and twinny. Oopss...even thought twinny is hitched and happily married. I dun believe in those sayings that woman should lower their expectations and just grab any Tom, Dick and Harry that just came along. LADIES, it's a CAPITAL N-O!! Dun do that to yourself!!! DUN listen to those Do-do Birds that advise you. Most probably they are unhappily stuck in a marriage with some lousy men and feeling miserable. Buahahahahaha! Anywhere my point is not to ask you to stay single BUT rather not to have unrealistic criteria for your future partner-to-be like I want a MR ANDY LAU or MR BRAD PITT but to be realistic and reasonable. And to focus on building confidence in yourself to fish the right guy. Take your time to find the RIGHT one and dun just take the WRONG one because you are worried the RIGHT one may never come.
So... how did it go???
Well... let's say the poor guy did not have a *smooth* time since he is dealing with a HARD NUT - AH MOI. Nope... he did not have a HARD time, he just had a FREEZING time. FROST BITE from the Ice Queen!!! BUZZ OFF!!! Kekekekekeke! =P
Life is not always a Box of Chocolate....

Many a times, Life happenings are uneXpected but we always like to assume the eXpected and insist that certain things has to be in a specific way.

Miss Blogging... Reason 1
Have not been able to blog much lately...cos I was so occupied doing this... kekekeke...
My first attempt to cross-stitch a tissue pack. It took me really long hours and many sleepless nights. This is for someone very special and I do hope she will like it...
*Yawn* Going to sleep now...
Finally it's done with a little help from dearest twinny. Hee.
It Bothers Me That I Have To Go
http://dontoearth.blogspot.com/
Ever occurred to you as your last days drew near and you don't know when you be gone.. ...would you be prepared?? I believe I will be bothered too... his blog is inspiring and witty. My grandmother who is nearly 90 like to talk about this issue too. It's scary to share such thoughts with her but she prepares everyday as if it's the last day and makes sure all the things are already "handed over" proper to whoever concern. Death is still a big stigma in Asian customs and honestly, I do not like to talk much about it and would brush it aside whenever grandmother brought it up... but maybe i should talk to her more about it... I believe she must be just as bother as Donald.
Grandmother, i love you so much so please stay with me as long as possible. Hugz.

Encounter with a Colour Wolf
During a cab ride, I met with a 色狼 (literally translated in English as Colour Wolf) taxi driver. GRRRRRRRRR!!! Yup!! Makes Moi Roar with Angry!! X-(
I was thinking how to translate "色狼" properly in English... Is it sex predator? pervert? sex maniac? Womanizer? or what?? Then I thought of a very appropriate and suitable Singlish "Chee Ko Pek"... yup yup..fits like a shoe.
Was discussing with Twinny whether I should make a police report against such IDIOT!! Can you imagine a taxi driver turning full 180 degrees to take your payment and using both his hands to touch your hand when you passed him the money and you feel like you can see he is like drooling with that horrible smile that would make you want to puke all over the taxi!!!!!!! It's just yikey yikey yikey!!!
"Please Lah!!! Uncle!! Can you show some discretion?"
I bet most of my ladies readers being so beautiful and cute would have met once or more with such kind of Hum Sup Taxi driver. And you know what i want to do now... washed my hands with dettol and flushed that STUPID driver's eyes with acid!!!
Twinny was such a cutie when I complained to her...
"You should show him your scary nails and said you got some contagious skin disease. Think he will faint or be scared. Hahahahaha!"
Twinny Dearest, you sure left me in stitches...it's so funny and witty of you. But then at that moment, I just can't wait to drop out of his stinking, stinking taxi. YIKES!!!
What a day!! Girls, beware of WOLVES!!!

Village Wok
Found this nice luchie hangout near my office... A group of us went down and found THIS place quite coincidentally. The Chinese name literally translated into English will mean "Eat Received Fortune" so one of my lunch mates were commenting that he must go and buy 4D and Toto after the meal. Kekekeke!
We tried a few of their chef recommendations and the food was not too bad especially the desserts...

The ice creams are specially made and we were spolit for choices so we decided to order everything since we couldn't decide which is nicer. Kekekeke! The taste for all 3 flavours were not too bad though the ginger ice cream might be a bit too "strong" for some.

Me to You
The oldest, smallest house you can imagine was about to be knocked down. All the things that once made the house nice and cosy had been thrown outside and piled up in the front garden, from the soft springy bed the owners slept in, to the old wooden floorboards they used to walk on
…and even, surely by some mistake, a little brown teddy bear.
He was trapped amongst all the other unwanted things, and couldn't move.
Then, one day…a very cold day, something fell from the sky…
…a little snowflake
It landed on the teddy bear's little nose and then was followed by many more. He began to get cold, very cold indeed. More and more snow fell, heavier and heavier. The little bear was now so cold that his nose started turning blue…so cold that his brown fur started turning grey.
He was cold, unloved and all alone in the world, and felt very, very sad.
Winter finally passed and the weather got warmer.
One beautiful spring day, a little girl was playing near the old house, when she spotted the grey bear in the pile of unwanted things. He was like no other bear she had ever seen and she pulled him out from where he was trapped.
She dusted him down and lifted him high in the sky to look at him.
"A grey teddy bear…with a blue nose?" she thought. "How strange!"
The teddy bear wanted to cry. He thought she didn't like him and would throw him back with the other unwanted things.
"But he's lovely!" she continued and she fell completely in love with him.
She ran home as fast as her little legs would carry her, to see if her Grandma could patch him up as a lot of his stuffing had fallen out, and he was very much in need of repair.
She looked on as her Grandma replaced his stuffing and patched up his holes.
His stitches had started showing where the fur had worn away, but the little girl thought he looked perfect.
It was all cosy and warm in the little girl's house and the bear felt all cosy and warm in his heart. However, his nose was still blue and his fur was still grey, and they would never return to brown.
He was unique among teddy bears.
The little girl gave him a great big hug. She loved him more than anything else in the world…her little grey, blue-nosed…
…tatty teddy.

Letter to Boss
Smart bosses learn that life is easier and results better when they respect and take care of their employees. Dumb bosses usually start by making dumb assumptions. Here are ten of the dumbest ones:
1) Assuming that they are smarter than the people who report to them.
2) Assuming they can delegate responsibility for results.
3) Assuming that employees don't know what's going on.
4) Assuming they can keep secrets.
5) Assuming they are entitled to special perks.
6) Assuming they can get away with abusive behavior.
7) Assuming no one notices their dumb moves.
8) Assuming they can get away with sloppy work.
9) Assuming no one knows they're insecure.
And you clearly shown 8 out of the 9 behaviours. You sure scored with flying colors.
Best Regards,
Your Ever Smart and Witty Brainy Staff
-------------------
I bet most of you will be nodding your heads as you read this... aren't your bosses so similar to the above...... Weeeeeeeeee!! Kekekeke!
The bottom line is Employees are endowed with intelligence and common sense that their bosses often seem to lack. Smart bosses remember what it was like to be one of the troops, and take special care to nurture their relationship with them.
In the army, officers are reminded time and again that they must first attend to the needs of their troops before taking care of their own. This is the essence of leadership because, after all, Leadership is just caring made visible.
