Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.
The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.
Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
Yesterday night, mom was tired and so she called to tell me she would be packing dinner. I recalled the nice dinner we had the other day with Little Junior Teddy Bear and Twinny and requested Mummy dearest to go and tabao. Had asked mummy to buy another of their signature dish the fried Mian Sian and of course not forgetting our favourite Coffee Pork Ribs. Heehee!

Found kitty sleeping soundly at the void deck on my way home. Isn't he cute and so sweet? Kitty had been around for quite some time and twinny and myself are rather attached to him. I hope Kitty will stay healthy and be happy always...
They said there are three distinct stages of love; each with their own characteristic emotional profile and scientific explanation.
First is lust. Lust is driven by our sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen. When we're teenagers, just after puberty, estrogen and testosterone become active in our bodies for the first time and create the desire to experience "love." After lust comes attraction. This is the love-struck phase; the time when we lose our appetite, can't sleep, and can't concentrate. This is what we know as falling in love.
When we fall in love, our palms sweat, we can stutter and become breathless, we can't think clearly and it feels like we have butterflies in our stomachs. This is all due to surging brain chemicals called monoamines. They are called dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. Norepinephrine and serotonin excite us, while dopamine makes us feel happy. These love chemicals are controlled by a substance which is also found in chocolate and in strawberries, called PEA or phenylethylamine and it is PEA which controls the transition from lust to love. Similar in structure to amphetamine, PEA too gives us that excitement we crave. The old saying "love is blind" is really accurate in this stage. We are often oblivious to any flaws our partner might have. We idealize them and can't get them off our minds. This overwhelming preoccupation and drive is part of our biology.
The third stage of love is attachment - staying together. Attachment takes over from the attraction stage and is the bond which keeps couples together. After all, we couldn't possibly stay in the attraction stage for ever - we would never get any work done for day dreaming. Two different hormones are important during this phase of love. They are oxytocin and vasopressin.
Oxytocin (the cuddling chemical) not only increases the bond between lovers, but is also one of the chemicals responsible for contractions during childbirth, milk expression when breastfeeding.
Vasopressin is the monogamy chemical. Only about three percent of mammals are monogamous; mating and bonding with one partner for life. Unfortunately, humans are not one of these naturally monogamous animals.
Endorphins are also involved in the longevity of love. Endorphins have the same pain-killing and pleasure-delivering properties as their cousin, morphine, without the risk of overdose.
Umm... so when it comes to choosing our Mr/Mrs Right, are we at the mercy of our subconscious or do we make a more conscious decision? :)
Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years or even months, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your partner's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.
At this point, you and/or your better half might start asking the above questions, and started to blame each other for their unhappiness and even look outside of their relationship for fulfillment like "second boat", work, a hobby, friends, excessive TV, alcohol, drug, etc. But whether you found a second or third boat, it does not matter cos you will still fall into this cycle again.
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN A RELATIONSHIP IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy.
Love in relationship is a "decision"... Not a feeling.
ABC Junior is such a sweetie. Love her to bits. Missing her much and hope to see her reallllllllllllly soon and will give her a BIG TIGHT SQUEEZE....ooopss.... I mean HUGS. Muacks!!!!!! Kekekeke!
Moi needs to work over time tonight to clear a mountain of stuff. At 6 plus, I looked out of the window and it's drizzling. The rain seems harmless enough so I thought I would just get going and grab dinner for the long night.
But as I walked from my office to Lau Pat Sat, I discovered the rain was actually not very "small". Being as lazy as a pig, I was too lazy to walk back to office to get my umbrella so I went walking in the rain and gotten myself quite drenched. I felt really silly and all the people must be wondering what's with this silly girl walking in such a rain. *SULK* BUT Mr Brolly came along and offered to share his umbrella with me. Isn't he SWEET!!?? ;-) He kindly sheltered me to my destination. In that few minutes of sharing his umbrella, we talked.
Mr Brolly : Wanna come under?
Me : Under? Umbrella? Thanks. *walked over awkwardly. So malu.*
Mr Brolly : The rain seems small but one can get really drench under it.
Me : Yes. That's true. I am. *gave a super malu smile*
Mr Brolly : You walking to?
Me : Oh! Lau Pat Sat. You can just drop me at the junction.
Mr Brolly : No worries. It's ok.
Me : Thanks. So you going for dinner?
Mr Brolly : Ya. Having class later so taking a quick bite.
We were approaching Lau Pat Sat and in my midst not to "touch" Mr Brolly, I landed my whole LEFT foot in a BIG PUDDLE of water. :-(
We went separate ways and I went to tabao my favourite Fish dumpling Hor fun at Lau Pat Sat. This stall sells only Hor fun but it is really nice. Their signature dish is actually their crayfish Hor fun selling at $8.00 but their fish dumpling is just as yummy yummy. The uniqueness lies in the Hor Fun and their gravy. Their Hor fun is very smooth and their gravy is very tasty, a home-made secret recipe containing herbs.
I was not that lucky on my way back from Lau Pat Sat to my office so I got really drenched. I do believe once a while, we will meet a Miss Brolly or Mr Brolly who will kindly give us a shelter and that's really refreshing and warmth as per my posting of my meeting with He. So Boys and Girls, next time when you see someone drenched in the rain, do become Mr or Miss Brolly and offered a shelter hor.
Ah Liang Ipoh Hor Fun

Went to Golden Shoe for Lunch. As usual, I will go to my favourite coffee kiosk, Eelingo for my usual dose of Hazelnut OR Mocha Latte. ;-P'
And what did i see on the back of my cupu?? YES!! A cute little face!! Isn't it cute?? So personalise. Ms Eelingo actually drew it on every cup. Sweet right? Gosh...SHE melt my heart with every sip.

With one hand holding my SUPER coffee, I made my way into Waston while waiting for the rain to get "smaller". As usual being super Miss Kiasu, I went to grab tissues, shampoo, body lotion, etc. With all my hands full and juggling with my pipping coffee in one hand, is definitely not an easy feat for just anybody. =P As I was proceeding to make payment, I saw a nice red hairband at a corner and stretched my long arms to go get it to put it together with my mountain of stuffs. As I was grabbing the hairband, HE spoke...
HE : Hey!! You took my hairband.
ME : AH?? ME? *BIG SMILE* [Hey, dun raise your voice at me because you are an Angmoh, ok! And excuse me, your hair is so short, why were you need a hairband, anywhere? And I didn't take your hairband. You were browsing other stuffs.]
HE : *BIG SMILE* You sure got a lot of stuffs.
ME : I was fast. Thanks for letting me have it. *BIG SMILE, WAVING HAIRBAND* [Good impression...Friendly and funny guy]
HE : I like the hairband you had chosen. Think it will look nice. *wink*
ME : *BIG SMILE*
Even the Cashier was smiling at him. He turned and chatted with Cashier too. My shopping done. I was smiling widely. Walked past him and gave a great big smile and said "Goodbye. Have a great day!". He smiled back and in his big cheerful voice shouting behind me, "You too. I Like You. You are cute. Bye!!"
HE sures made my day after SHE. No lah.... there wasn't anything. I dun think he was trying to chat me up... If he did really intend to, he was quite successful. =P Moi likes funny guy with sense of humour and witty. So GUYS!! Stay applying!! Kekekeke! ;-P
But it does ponder me why it is NOT Singapore culture where strangers would come and say hi to others genuinely with no hidden agenda. I heard a friend who did her studies in Australia previously about how it's the culture where everyone greets everyone good morning, good day! etc. It will be so lovely if in the train instead of hearing all the "tsk tsk tsk" sounds in the morning. We can greet the person next to us with a BIG SMILE and say "Good Day!". It will sure makes everyone's day a brighter day to be in har!!
Last Weekend I went for drinks with a friend and we chatted for very very long. She mentioned bringing me to this AH BENG's pub along East Coast so we went there. I couldn't really decipher the place until she led me behind some bushes. I felt like entering into a total different kind of place, cutting myself away from the noisy city and streets. This is the first time I came to this pub AND it sure closes early at 3am. We were still drinking but got to go but the ambience was nice and cosy. A nice little private place hiding among the noisy city. A good hideout for chats and for quiet thoughts.
Two ladies had five glasses Long island tea and one bottle of Corona. SO what do you have? Two siao chap bor talking out loudly and making a dim. =P gosh!! No shinning knight to save these 2 damsels in distress har!! Wahahahaha! We talked about many things especially regarding the recent event that we both worked on. What is it like to be in the world of silent? What is it like NOT able to hear very clearly.. Deafness is a very lonely disability that cuts off communication and isolates a person. How many times can him or her ask someone to repeat and repeat, not to the point of irritation to the speaker? How it feels to miss a joke as the whole team laughs? How it feels not catching the whole gist of a conversation as everyone is talking simultaneously at the same time? It's a challenge for those who has hearing problems. She described it as living in a glass cylinder that you could never get out of it.... And the little muffled voices is all that was heard usually... And you just got to learn to live with it...It really makes you feel so lonely...

Kept my promise. Here are the details of tonight's dinner. If not for HDB's Tai Tai's recomendation, we would not discover this little quiet restaurant in our HDB hub. 4 of us order 5 dishes and cost less than $100. Mummy and Little Junior Ted were the first to arrive, followed by myself, followed by Twinny and her dearie.
The tiny restaurant was so very packed but the servers were very alert and efficient. They provided very good service despite so many customers. The first dish served was their signature dish - Coffee Pork Ribs. It was awesome. The Ribs were very crispy and not bitter at all. The dash of coffee aroma emitted from time to time helped to enhance the taste.
The fish was very fresh and light. I am not a fish lover but ate quite a few mouthfuls. We ordered specially so that Little Junior Ted could eat. Next was the Vegetarian dish that was actually recommended by the HDB Tai Tais. Unfortunately all of us didn't find it delicious and it was the most expensive order among the rest of the dishes. We also ordered another recommended dish which was the Tofu. The tofu was made in-house. I didn't find the taste too unique.

What did Little Junior Ted has? He and his chap ba rang dinner. He was playing his food more than eating. I must salute to all Mothers. You really need a lot of patience with all these little rascals.

The restaurant is only about 15 minutes walk from home so after the dinner, all of us did some digestive exercise by walking. Even Little Junior Ted came down and walked. Heehee!
This is a belated posting of a family Christmas celebration at Twinny's place on 22 Dec 2006. The whole family came with all my nephews and niece and also Wonderland Aunty so it was great fun. Twinny set up her pretty christmas tree as usual.
Twinny getting ready for the BIG christmas Dinner. Twinny was "late" for the preparation. She had asked me to help her and I had made it a point to come half an hour earlier to wait at the door so you ought to see how she Kalang Kabut to get all the things ready before the guests arrive.

Twinny went into the super teeny weeny details even up to the type of Serviette. Hmm... too nice to wipe our mouths leh. =P
Now for the food. It was truly a feast. Twinny's dearie went early to Bedok to tabao from our favourite hunt - BLK 416 Coffeeshop. The food was really good and value for money. But the queue can be horrendous.
Now for some close-up shots of the food.... drooling...=P'
Dun you belittle this simple dish. This is their signature dish. The Tofu is self-made so it is very, very silky and smooth. It practically just melt in one's mouth. Uuuuuummm... The Chai Poh is so crispy and light, a perfect combination with the soft tofu. This is the Chef Ah Gu's own creation yo!
The "shell" is like goreng pisang with scallop, prawns and many other things inside. Though it was a little cold by the time the dish was served. It still taste very good. Below are 2 very "ordinary" dishes. I cant recall any special-ness about these 2 dishes. =P
Ooppss... Fried Rice is from Mummy Dearest. Of course it's yummy!!
Below is another of their signature dish. The prawns are very fresh and big and it's so crispy that one can eat the whole prawns including the shell. It's really that nicey nicey. b(^o^)d *Thumbs up*
And here's our dessert bought specially by MOI!!

Hmm...everyone was rather full but since this cake is so tiny, the portion is just nice. ^_-) Wonderland Aunty helped to divide it equally among us. Kekekeke! And because that day was Dong Zhi (Winter Solstice Festival), mom made some dang yuan too. We were sooooooooo STUFFED!!
It was fun to gather the family once in a while. We managed to catch Little Strawberry shortcake with her first steps. I managed to video her walking. Kekeke! I brought Huggie, Sirotan along too to celebrate Christmas. Heehee! My Tiny Sirotan met Twinny's Giant Sirotan. Kekekeke! Sirotan is a plush stuffed seal, which is cute in itself, but the killer app is that Sirotan will disguises himself to be other animals to go on an adventure. Heehee! He is so cute. You can buy different disguises of Sirotan.
Had a great Christmas celebration with family. ^_^) Going for another eat out session tonight with Little Junior Ted and Twinny. Will post...kekeke!

Hmm...a lot of readers must be wondering why my Dearest Twinny is not blogging!! It's because she forgot her password on blogger!!! Haiya!! So silly and she is very lazy so if you can drop in more comments to request for "HER". I believe it will motivate her to BLOG soon!! kekekeke!
Twinny Twinny where are you?
The Little Twin Stars is the mascot of our Twinz Blog. Let me share a little about them... The Little Twin Stars are named Kiki and Lala. They were born on the Star of Compassion. These mystical twins would pass the time wondering about life on Earth, the planet they had heard so many stories about. With permission from Mother-Star and Father-Star they set out for a visit to Earth. Lala's star wand led them on their journey. Ever since they arrived they have been spreading happiness to everyone they meet. And they are created on the same year as me and Twinny!!! (^_-) Their birthday is 24th December.
Today is a blue blue day. After such a long break, you really dread to pull yourself out of bed to go to work. WORK WORK WORK and more WORK. It's never ending...har.
*GRUMMPY*
From yesterday night till now I have been visiting the "Porcelain God" (toilet bowl) till today, had this very very bad diarrhoea. Now my whole body just feel so weak. Mummy Dearest made a little plain porridge for me to let me clean my system. Been sleeping most of today except for visiting the "Porcelain God". What a day to start 2007!
I think my diarrhoea is due to too many good food and fun over the long weekend of holidays. Had been starting to have lots of food gathering at friends' homes starting 29 Dec till yesterday so you can imagine how full I was. And I had so many pizzas over the gatherings. Guess the Canadian Pizza and Pizza Hut must be making good money during the festive season when everyone been calling in har. NO MORE PIZZA for me till end of this Month. I am sick of PIZZA. =P
For the first food gathering hse, I had 4 helpings to the chicken curry, fried noodle, sausage with beans, potato croquette... his wife was just too super a cook. They even made their own fruit punch with their own secret receipe. I just couldn't control. His whole house was decorated nicely with still the christmas "feel". I didn't have Kanon so I only managed to have the picture of his christmas tree which is so nicely touched up.
On the 31 Dec, had another gathering, had pizzas with salad and ice-cream with peach. It was yet another pig-out session at another friend's place. Bought along ABC's Cranium. Had a CRAZY Time playing with all of them. We were laughing so very loudly... i hope we didn't disturb the neighbours. Hahahaha!
Yet another one... a pot-luck session at another friend's house. So it's really food and more food. No wonder my tummy cant take it. =P But still the food are really yummy!! No No no..Kanon is not back yet but these are the snaps taken by another friend's camera so heehee..enjoy!! AND mind u, the pizzas are home-made too!!! All are home-cooked, safe the Nan Nan Chicken Curry bought and contributed by NON OTHER than MOI! Hahahahaha!
