Miss Clarity cafe

One of the hottest hangout with the young ones these days. The amazing cafe that got their patrons through postings from enthusiastic bloggers... You won't miss this cafe at Purvis Street with its super kiddish pinkish deco. Moi heard it is always SUPER crowded so grab the chance to drop by when I was around that area before 7pm for dinner. Well, well, let's say it was still fully packed even before 7pm but we managed to get seats.

Well, the service was nothing to mention as it was obvious the servers were short-handed with three serving a fully-packed restaurant and throngs of waiting customers. Our order took a while to come but it wasn't a disappointment. While price has definitely gone up from what I read from others' blog postings about Miss Clarify, food was rather pleasant. In view of this, Moi will think it's value for money. Portion was big and none-the-least stingy. Ingredients was fresh and food was serve piping hot. Though one will need to practise a little patience and wait for your orders and to get the attention of the servers.

SuSe tried their Old MacDonald had a Farm which is a medley of steak, lamb chop, crispy chicken, chipolata (pork sausages), pork chop, bacon, ham and potato wedges served with their own special black pepper sauce topped with a sunny side up. The chicken and lamb tasted nice and tender, but the pork chop was a little tough. I would say it was a very interesting combination. Despite the "complexity" of this dish, every ingredient on the plate was served warm and juicy.

Old MacDonald Had A Farm $16.00

The main course seems too jia lat for Moi as I am on a diet... Remember? So Moi ordered pasta instead. I had another of their signature dish, Soft Shell Crab Fantasy. The cappellini was definitely well done, not over cooked or under cooked, Al dente. There was a choice between creamy garlic sauce OR clarity’s special tomato sauce. In my own preference, I had chosen the tomato base AND regretted. I think they put in MINT or some herbal thingy inside the tomato sauce which was not to Moi's liking.

Soft Shell Crab Fantasy $9.80

But overall, it was still quite a nice cosy place. Just that it was really too noisy because of the crowd and I wonder how all the ah bengs and the ah lians can coop inside and talk and talk. =P
